Oakley Johns joins Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series at Thunderhill Raceway Park
On Friday afternoon, Oakley Johns welcomed the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series to his home track of Thunderhill Raceway Park (Summertown, Tenn.) as he joined a 36-car field for the two-day Mark Fields Memorial.
With a stout 36-car field on hand for the $5,000-to-win opener, Johns missed the setup in his Last Chance Qualifier and was unable to make the main event.
As the field bolstered to 38 entries on Saturday, Oakley grabbed the final transfer spot in his heat race to earn a spot in the $15,000-to-win finale. Starting on the seventh-row, Johns wound up 13th after 50 laps.
