Oakley Johns competes in Street Stock Nationals at Whynot Motorsports Park
Shelving his regular Late Model activates for the weekend, Oakley Johns made an appearance at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Miss.) for the annual Street Stock Nationals behind the wheel of the Morgan Motorsports No. 9 machine.
Kicking off the festivities on Thursday night with 111 cars in the pit area, Johns qualified seventh-fastest in his group and placed third in his qualifier.
Running a B-Main on Friday night, Oakley led all 15 laps and scored his spot in the main event on Saturday.
Rolling off 13th in the $5,000-to-win finale, Johns picked through the field over 50-laps and wound up just outside the Top-5 in sixth.
