Oakley Johns narrowly misses Alabama Gang 100 at Talladega Short Track with World of Outlaws
With the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series close to home, Oakley Johns joined a 48-car field at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) for the Alabama Gang 100 on Friday afternoon.
Starting his $4,000-to-win preliminary feature from 12th, Johns passed five competitors to finish inside the Top-10 in seventh.
Placing sixth in his heat race on Saturday, Oakley found himself in a Last Chance Showdown where he finished three spots out of a transfer spot in fifth.
